Recanati

Villa Colloredo Mels - Lorenzo Lotto - Annunciation

Recanati was directional center of primary importance in the last centuries. Situated on the ridge between the valleys of the rivers Musone and Potenza, has ancient churches and noble palaces with important works of art.
The poet Giacomo Leopardi was born there and the tenor Beniamino Gigli .

The tower of the Sparrow Hermit, the hill de the Infinite, the little square of the Saturday of the Village, the house of Silvia: every angle of Recanati remembers the poet. The visit to the Leopardi house with the immense library is one only emotion.
For the fans of musical works, but not only, it is possible to visit the museum Beniamino Gigli inside the Persiani theatre (XIX cent.) with beautiful costumes of the great tenor.

L'INFINITO
