Le Due Sorelle - The "Two Sisters"
The rocks called "Two Sisters", near the homonymous beach, are one of the most suggestive angles of the Coast of the Conero, in the Conero Park.
The beach can be reached only with the boat (service of ferries in the summer season 30 minutes far from from Numana) or through a difficult path descending from the mountain. This path is called "Passo del lupo" (Pass of the wolf).

Adjacent the beach of the "Two Sisters", you find another beach, characterized from the presence of rocks: till the beginning of 20th century there was the cave of the slaves, later closed by a landslip .
Many people testifies about the beauty of this cave that could have been reached directly from the sea with a boat.
The name would derive from the use that Sabba, admiral of the saracens, would have done of it: in fact it seems to have been used as warehouse of the slaves that were collected during the incursions by the two sides of Adriatic sea, waiting the redeems for their liberation or waiting to sale them.
He is the same that in the 839 p.C. destroyed Ancona with all vestiges of Romans and Greeks. He ravaged the arc of Traiano of its statues of metal.
It is narrated that soon after the fears finished, when a storm shipwrecked all his ships.
