Duke Palace
Urbino is elevated on two necks (the name come from latin "Urbs bina") and conserves some of the best operas of the Renaissance.
Native land of Bramante and Raffaello, city of art and of artistic and architectural masterpieces.
The history and the glory of Urbino are tied to the Montefeltro family, first of all to the duke Federico (1422-1482), true renaissance prince surrounded from artists and men of letters.

What to see
Ducale palace, renaissance princely dwelling of duke Federico realized from Laurana and Francesco di Giorgio Martini.
National gallery of the Marche masterpieces as the Dumb by Raffaello; moreover paintings of Paolo Uccello, Piero della Francesca, Laurana, Melozzo from Forlì, Giusto di Gand, Verrocchio, Giambellino and Tiziano.
The house of Raffaello, with one its juvenile works, the gothic church of S.Domenico with paintings of Vanni and Giovanni Conca and ceramics of Luca Della Robbia.
