Offagna
It is a village on a hill between Osimo and Ancona, born as a
castle with defensive functions around the beautiful fortress of the
year 1454.
In the fortress currently there is a small museum of the
ancient crews, but beyond all there is the fascination of the medieval world.
With the same ticket can be
visited the Paolucci Museum with naturalistic collections. Now
this museum has been adopted from the Park of the Conero
as atmosphere extension of the Park.
Every year in July the week of " medieval festivities " takes place in Offagna.
During this week it keeps
conventions, musical and dance and theatral shows in the city streets;
moreover parades with dresses of the period, chivalrous competitions and suppers
of medieval character. A part of people dresses themselves in medieval way and the same stores are decorated and take a denomination of the age.
